
Gaharo Heirloom Bourbon Washed
Summary
Gaharo Heirloom Bourbon is a washed coffee from Kayanza, Burundi, produced by the Long Miles Coffee Project in collaboration with over 6,000 producers through the Bukeye Station. The Heirloom Bourbon variety is grown at 1700-2100 meters above sea level. Cherries are hand-picked at peak ripeness, de-pulped on harvest day, undergo a 12-hour dry fermentation, followed by a second soak of 4-6 hours, then dried on raised beds for 16-20 days. Flavor profile includes nectarine, black tea, and osmanthus.
