
Gaharo Heirloom Bourbon
Summary
Gaharo Heirloom Bourbon is a washed coffee from the Kayanza region of Burundi, produced by the Long Miles Coffee Project. The coffee is made from Heirloom Bourbon varieties grown at 1700-2100 MASL. Cherries are hand-picked at peak ripeness, floated and hand-sorted, then dry fermented for 12 hours, rinsed, soaked for 4-6 hours, pre-dried for up to 48 hours with hand-sorting, and finally dried on African raised beds for 16-20 days. Flavour notes include nectarine, black tea, and osmanthus.
