Izuba Anoxic Natural
Summary
Coffee from the Izuba washing station in Runinya, Kayanza Province, Burundi, grown at 1500-1700 m.a.s.l. with Red Bourbon variety. Anoxic natural process: hand-picked and floated cherries are sealed in a fermentation tank under a water pillow, creating a vacuum and an anoxic environment for 48-72 hours at a stabilised 25°C, then rinsed and sun dried on raised beds for 25-30 days. Izuba sits near Kibira National Park, whose soil and climate suit high-quality coffee production.
