Summary

Single-origin Kenyan coffee from the Karagoto factory in Nyeri, on the slopes of Mount Kenya, owned by the Tekangu Farmers Cooperative Society. Grown at 1708 m on red volcanic Nitisol soil by smallholder farmers, mainly the Batian, SL-28, SL-34 and Ruiru 11 varieties. Fully washed: depulped, density graded, fermented 24-36 hours under shade, washed, soaked 6-12 hours and sun dried on raised beds. AB screen size. A warm yet vibrant cup with plum aroma, rosehip, black currant lemonade and a cooling, refreshing aftertaste.
