
Imbalu
Summary
Imbalu is a single-origin coffee from Uganda, produced by The Coffee Yard founded by Norman Mukuru in the Sironko District, Eastern Uganda. Grown at 1800-2200m altitude, it features SL14, SL28 and Nyasaland varieties. The coffee is processed using the anaerobic natural method, fermented in cherry in closed barrels and slowly dried on raised beds. Flavour notes include syrupy body with blackcurrant liqueur, date molasses, juicy pineapple and wine gums. Suitable for filter brewing methods such as V60, Aeropress, Clever Dripper and cafetière.
