Colonna Coffee is a Bath roaster with real specialty pedigree — it grew out of the acclaimed Colonna & Small's café (opened 2009) run by Maxwell Colonna-Dashwood, a multiple UK Barista Champion and coffee author, with roasting following in 2015. The whole thing is about exploration: beans are tiered as Foundation, Discovery and Rare, with quarterly limited drops for chasing something special, alongside detailed flavour profiling. They also do Nespresso-compatible capsules and their own Opal machine subscriptions. UK-based with a US store and wholesale. A brilliant pick if you want boutique, thoughtfully profiled single origin specialty coffee — from beginner-friendly to genuinely rare.
