Summary
This coffee comes from approximately 850 smallholder farmers belonging to the Koakambu cooperative in the Ruhango region of Rwanda. Processed at the Gisanga station run by Tropic Coffee, it consists of a blend of Bourbon varieties grown at 1650-1800 meters above sea level on volcanic soil. The coffee is natural/dry processed, resulting in enhanced sweetness, fuller body, and pronounced dried fruit character. Flavour profile includes dried fruits, caramel, tropical fruits, melon, apricot, and oolong tea notes with a medium tea-like body. Light roast (City). Suitable for both filter and espresso preparation. SCA score: 85.25.
