El Oso
Summary
El Oso is a washed Peruvian coffee from the San Ignacio region, grown between 1,350 and 1,890 masl by members of Cooperativa Agraria Frontera San Ignacio. The El Oso Project supports forest conservation around the Santuario Nacional Tabaconas Namballe, habitat of the spectacled bear, using organic farming methods and investing in solar drying tents, fermentation equipment and a dry mill. The Caturra variety is roasted as an omni roast, offering notes of blackberry, cacao nibs and agave — sweet and juicy as filter, rich and syrupy as espresso.
