Coaltown Coffee

Coaltown Coffee is a Welsh roaster from Ammanford with one of the best origin stories going. The town once mined anthracite — 'black gold' — and when the last colliery closed in 2003, Coaltown set out to create a new kind of black gold: coffee, and local pride to go with it. They roast house blends (Black Gold No.3, Anthracite No.2 and friends) and rotating single origins, run a roastery-canteen plus an espresso bar in Pontarddulais, and back it all with B Corp certification, living wages and direct trade.
