La Parada
Summary
Alberto Martinez is a first-generation coffee farmer who grows coffee on 5 hectares of the La Parada farm near Arenosa in Huila, Colombia, at 2000 meters above sea level. This lot is the Gesha variety. After hand-picking, cherries are sorted in a flotation tank, then anaerobically fermented in oxygen-sealed bags or plastic barrels. Following fermentation, the cherries are sun-dried on patios and machine-milled before export. Flavour notes include red wine, rum punch, and cocoa beans. Recommended for filter brewing.
