India, Ratnagiri
Summary
A rare single-origin coffee from Ratnagiri Estate in the Bababudangiri region of India's Western Ghats, owned by Ashok Patre. This lot is a 96-hour extended carbonic maceration natural process using the Hemavathi varietal, grown at 1350m. The coffee was fermented with lab-grown cultures and slowly dried over 31 days, resulting in a juicy and clean cup with notes of mango, orange, and marzipan.
