Planadas – Colombia – Fully Washed

Summary

Planadas is a fully washed Caturra coffee from the Planadas municipality in Tolima, Colombia, grown on organic-certified farms at about 1600 meters above sea level at the foot of the Nevado del Huila volcano. The cherries are pulped, fermented for 18–24 hours, washed, and sun-dried for about two weeks followed by a short mechanical drying for homogeneous moisture. The cup is balanced and low in acidity with notes of walnut, cocoa, and plum, making it suitable for filter brewing, espresso, and cappuccino.
