Rogelio Pena - Peru
Summary
Rogelio Pena and his son Franklin Pena from Finca La Familia in Nazareth de la Cumbre, Cajamarca, Peru, produce this anaerobic washed coffee from Typica and Caturra varieties grown at 1700 MASL. The coffee offers loganberry, sugarcane and vanilla flavours with a structured mouthfeel. Cherry is selectively harvested, pulped, sealed in bags for 48 hours, then dried in solar dryers for around 25 days until moisture reaches 10-11%. The farm uses organic farming practices focusing on soil and environmental health.
