Kenya Misadhi Ab Coffee
Summary
A fully washed Kenyan speciality coffee from Lot 20, working with farmers across the highlands of western Kenya. Founded by producer Sidney Kibet in 2019, Lot 20 began with the goal of exporting 20 bags of Kenyan coffee to the UK. This Misadhi AB comes from Kericho County, grown at 1,800 metres above sea level, and is made up of the Batian and Ruiru 11 varieties. Following sorting and pulping, the coffee undergoes a controlled series of water fermentations — 12 hours submerged before the tank is drained and refilled, repeated three times — then rinsed through traditional washed channels and dried on raised beds. In the cup it shows the brightness of a high-grown Kenyan coffee balanced by caramel and digestive biscuit sweetness, delicate black tea notes and a refreshing citrus lift.
