Ethiopia Goyo
Summary
This coffee comes from the Guji region in Ethiopia, specifically the Hambella area, produced by Aman Adinew and Tariku Adinew of Metad at the Alaka washing station. Approximately 15,000 smallholder farmers contribute to the program, including about 150 farmers from the Tirtira Goyo community. The coffee is grown using traditional, sustainable methods including garden and semi-forest systems, with organic and polyculture practices. Varieties include local heirloom types such as Bedessa, Kudhumi, Miqe, Sawa, and Walichu, along with improved varieties 74110 and 74112. Processing is washed using eco-pulper technology. Flavour profile features apricot, tropical fruits, and floral notes.
