Finca El Faldon
Summary
Finca El Faldon is a washed coffee from Huila, Colombia, produced by Luis Felipe Leguizamo Giraldo and his brother. The farm is a member of Asociación Los Naranjos and won first prize at the Cup of Excellence in 2011. This Caturra variety is grown at 1840 meters altitude in the Magdalena Valley region of the Andes. The bright and sparkling cup offers notes of cherry cola, apple, and apricot, with a light palate and sweet flavors of nougat and candied fruit. A defined malic acidity keeps the profile fresh and juicy. The coffee is fermented in tanks for 12-36 hours and dried on patios.
