Maria Delgado
Summary
This washed Caturra coffee comes from Maria Delgado's farm El Chocó, located in the San Antonio village of El Cortijo in Buesaco, Nariño, Colombia at 2,200 masl. Maria works with her daughter Ximena, growing Caturra at high altitude. The coffee undergoes a washed process where ripe cherries are fermented whole before de-pulping, with extended fermentation due to moderate temperatures. The region of Nariño is known for steep slopes, high altitudes, and a unique climate allowing coffee to grow without frost risk. Subtext purchased 250 kg of this lot and has worked with Maria for six years.
