Jose Jijon - Washed Mejorado
Summary
This washed Mejorado coffee is from Fincas del Putushio in Loja, Ecuador, produced by Jose Jijon. The variety is Mejorado, a cross-pollination of Bourbon and Ethiopian Landrace. The coffee is traditionally washed: picked and depulped the same day, left overnight in dry parchment, rinsed in fresh spring water, and slow dried on covered raised beds for thirty days. Tasting notes include sweet pears, jammy apricots, and marshmallow-like confectionary sweetness with a light body and long sweet finish. Roasted extra-light.
