Costa Rica Las Lajas Laurina Black Diamond
Summary
A slow-dried natural process coffee from the slopes of the Poas Volcano in Alajuela, Central Valley, Costa Rica, produced by Oscar and Francisca Chacón of the Las Lajas farm. The Laurina varietal (a dwarf Bourbon with lower caffeine content) was grown at 1300-1600 masl and processed using the Black Diamond Natural method, involving meticulous sorting, aerobic fermentation, and slow controlled drying. The cup offers intense sweetness and creaminess with boozy ripe strawberry, Fruity Pebbles cereal, and hazelnut notes.
