Summary

This Kenya coffee comes from the Ruera Estate in the Kiambu region, grown at 1550 meters elevation on rich red volcanic soil. The farm cultivates SL28, Ruiru 11, Batian, and K7 varieties. This limited natural-processed lot won 1st place in the 2024-2025 Kenyan National Taste of Harvest competition (Natural category) with a score of 86 points. Hand-picked cherries were sorted and slowly dried on raised beds. Roasted for filter, it offers flavours of peach, currant, and flower honey with bright acidity and sweetness.
