Benjamin Paz Coe #1
Summary
Benjamin Paz's Finca La Salsa Geisha won 1st place in the 2024 Honduras Cup of Excellence, achieving the highest auction price ever paid for Honduran coffee at $136.50 per pound. This collaboration box set features the same award-winning anaerobic washed Geisha coffee roasted by four different roasters: Proud Mary, Black & White, Onyx, and Verve. Each roaster provides a 55g tin of whole bean coffee, packaged together in a custom box. The farm is located on the high slopes around Lake Yojoa in Santa Barbara, Honduras, where a unique microclimate of mist and low temperatures slows cherry maturation for a sweet cup profile. Tasting notes include floral, juicy, black tea, peach, and citrus flavors. Benjamin has placed in the top 5 of the Honduras Cup of Excellence every year since 2021, also winning 1st place in 2022.
