Old Brown Java is a single-origin dark roast coffee from Java, Indonesia. Grown on the historic estates of East Java's Ijen volcanic plateau by a co-operative, this Typica variety coffee is aged for months in open-sided warehouses in the island's warm, humid air, a process that recreates the mellow character once achieved during long Dutch sea voyages. The cup is low-acid with deep earthy sweetness, soft spice, gentle sweetness, and a warm finish.
