Summary

This coffee comes from Coffea Diversa's farm in Suchitan, Guatemala. The Dalle variety was originally collected by Major A.R. Melville from Southern Ethiopia in 1942 and brought to Kenya. It was later imported by USDA to CATIE in Costa Rica, where Gonzalo Hernandez of Coffea Diversa obtained it and sent seeds to Guatemala. A natural mutation produced yellow cherries, which were planted separately to create Yellow Dalle. Only 20kg were produced, processed as honey. Flavour profile includes grapefruit, caramel, and Meyer lemon, with a delicate, citrusy, and sweet cup.
