Colombia La Riviera SL28 is a washed-process coffee from producers Julio Madrid and Julio Quiceno at La Riviera farm in Santa Rosa de Cabal, Risaralda, Colombia, cultivated at 1,750 meters above sea level. The variety is SL28, originally developed by Scott Laboratories in Kenya but transplanted to Colombia. The coffee offers flavour notes of raisin, red delicious apple, chamomile, and toasted almond. It is roasted to an expressive dark level (Agtron #102.1) and suitable for both filter and espresso extraction. This is a decaffeinated coffee with 0mg of caffeine per 12oz cup. The coffee was harvested in September 2024 and dried on raised beds. It scored 87.5 in cupping.
