Summary
Colombia Jairo Arcila Lychee is a single-origin microlot from Quindío, Colombia, produced by third-generation coffee grower Jairo Arcila of Cofinet. The coffee is of the Castillo variety, grown at 1500 MASL. It underwent an anaerobic washed processing method with a 48-hour dry anaerobic fermentation during which fresh lychees were introduced into the environment, imparting delicate floral and tropical nuances. After fermentation, the coffee was washed and dried on raised beds under temperatures below 35°C. The cup profile features strong notes of lychee, lime rind, pineapple, and rose, with a fruit-forward character. It received a cupping score of 87 and is suitable for both filter and espresso preparation.
