Kenya - Nainyore
Summary
Nainyore is a micro-lot coffee from the Fort Ternan area of Kenya, grown at 1900 m. Hand-picked and cultivated on fertile soil in a climate well suited to specialty coffee, the slow maturation contributes to a complex flavour profile. Varieties Batian, K7, SL28, SL34 and Ruiru 11 are fully fermented in water without contact with the skin, a method that lifts fruity and winey tones with a clean, lively character. After fermentation the beans are dried on raised beds and turned regularly for an even, controlled process. Full-bodied with distinct wine character and notes of berries, caramel, pineapple and herbs.
