Samii Lalesa
Summary
Samii Lalesa is a washed coffee from Ethiopia's Gedeo Zone, grown by smallholder farmers around the Lalesa washing station founded by Alemayehu Tilahun. Cherries are hand-picked, pulped with an Agaarde disc pulper, fermented for 48–100 hours, and dried on raised beds for 8–20 days. The cup is vibrant and elegant with ripe apricot and pear jam, silky caramel, black tea structure, and delicate floral notes.
