Kenya Aa Rift Valley Filter
Summary
A Kenyan filter coffee from the Rift Valley, sourced from the Kiambu, Muranga, Nyeri, Kirinyaga and Embu regions at 1600-2000 masl. Grown from SL 28, SL 34, Batian and Ruiru 11 varieties. Cherries are fermented for around 16 hours at the washing station, washed with mountain spring water and dried in parchment on raised beds for 14-21 days. Batian and Ruiru 11 add sweetness and body, giving a slightly heavier cup than a classic bright Kenyan. Tasting notes of blackcurrant, caramel sweetness and a grape-like aftertaste.
