Musaza is a specialty coffee from Rwanda, produced by Rwamatamu Coffee in the Nyamasheke region near Lake Kivu. Grown at 1,800-2,000 meters above sea level, this Red Bourbon variety undergoes a natural anaerobic process, with fermentation in oxygen-free conditions followed by sun-drying on raised beds. The cup profile features apple, plum, raspberry, and chocolate. Rwamatamu Coffee, founded in 2015, focuses on fair wages and supporting women in coffee farming, and received third place in The Best of Rwanda 2024 with a cupping score of 90.71.
