Summary

Uganda Zebigi is a specialty coffee from the Bukyabo region of Uganda, grown by smallholder farmers associated with the Coffee Gardens initiative. It is made from Nyasaland, SL14 and SL28 varieties and processed using the fully washed method: cherries are delivered to the washing station within hours of harvest, depulped, pre-washed, and fermented for about 40 hours in cool mountain spring water, then sorted through 12 stages. The cup offers juicy apple, sweet grapes and subtle creamy vanilla, with high but pleasant acidity, light to medium body and a clean, long finish. Suitable for both filter brewing (drip, Chemex, AeroPress) and espresso.
