Kenya Murarandia
Summary
This coffee comes from members of the New Murarandia Farmers Cooperative Society, which brings together over 650 smallholder farmers in the Muranga region south of Nyeri, Kenya. Each farmer cultivates coffee on small plots, usually under one hectare, and delivers harvested cherries to the Murarandia Factory, a processing station operating since 1997. The cooperative works with Sucafina / Kahawa Bora, which trains farmers in agronomy and processing, ensuring clean and precise lots. The fully washed coffee comprises Batian, Ruiri 11, SL 28 and SL 34 varieties, and scored 85.5.
