Indian Monsoon Malabar is a single origin coffee from Karnataka, Western Ghats in South India, grown at 1,100-1,200 meters altitude. The varieties used are Kents, S.795, Catimor, and Selection 9. It undergoes a distinctive Monsooned processing method where beans are exposed to moisture-laden monsoon winds for 12-16 weeks, swelling to nearly twice their original size. The cup profile offers spicy, earthy, smoky, tobacco and wood notes with a medium body and medium acidity.
