Rumudamo
Summary
Rumudamo is a washed coffee from Arbogena, Ethiopia, grown at 2,200 meters above sea level. The coffee is processed using barrel fermentation: cherries are fermented in sealed barrels without water for six days, then de-pulped, washed, and dried on raised African beds for 16-20 days. The cup profile features blackberry, raspberry, rose, berry preserves, milk chocolate, blood orange, and black cherry acidity. The Rumudamo washing station, managed by Asefa Dukamo Korma, sources cherries from over 600 farmers, mostly growing the 74112 variety. This lot placed 2nd and 3rd in the 2020 Ethiopia Cup of Excellence.
