Imani
Summary
Imani is a washed coffee from the Kiambu region of Kenya, grown at 1700+ meters above sea level on deep, well-drained red volcanic soils. The coffee features SL34, Ruiru-11, and SL-28 varieties. Handpicked ripe cherries are pulped on harvest day, undergo full fermentation and washing, then dried and stored in ventilated bins. The cup profile offers notes of raisin, black cherry, floral, sangria, grape, cranberry, raspberry, rose, and subtle citrus acidity, with a well-rounded sweetness and complexity.
