Gichathaini
Summary
Gichathaini is a Kenyan coffee from the Nyeri region, produced by the Gikanda FCS cooperative, which brings together around 1,850 coffee farmers. Gichathaini is one of the cooperative's best-performing washing stations. Its new dry mill and precise fermentation and drying processes preserve the characteristic clarity and complexity of the SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11 and Batian varieties. Grown at 1,600-1,900 m and washed, it shows tasting notes of gooseberry, rhubarb and sea buckthorn.
