Guatemala La Bolsa
Summary
Guatemala La Bolsa is a single-origin coffee from the La Bolsa farm in Huehuetenango, Guatemala, managed by Renardo and Mária, grandsons of the original founder. The farm supports its workers with a school, nursery and community kitchen. This lot is a selection of Bourbon and Caturra varieties processed as washed coffee, with about a kilometre of turning in concrete channels and roughly 16 days of drying. Grown at 1700-1900 metres above sea level, it offers a sweet cup with a nice body and pleasant finish, featuring notes of honey-nut cookie, cocoa nibs and butter cookie. Recommended for espresso preparation (doppio: 20 g in, 44 g out, 26 s).
