Kenya Kirinyaga Kii
Summary
Kenya Kirinyaga Kii is a 100% Arabica coffee from the Kirinyaga region at the foot of Mount Kenya National Park, grown at 1600-1900 meters altitude on volcanic soil. Produced by smallholder farmers of the Rungeto COOP cooperative at the Kii washing station. The coffee is processed using the wet method with 36-hour fermentation followed by sun drying. Varieties are SL28 and SL34. Roasted to Full City level, it offers a medium-strong, syrupy body with dominant sweet berry fruit notes, complemented by caramel and red grape undertones, with a hint of herbal bitterness and a soft raisin and dried fig aftertaste.
