Ethiopia Ayele Shanko (filter)
Summary
A single-producer Ethiopian coffee from Ayele Shanko's farm in Bensa, Sidamo, grown at 1600 m from heirloom varieties. The ripe cherries were hand-selected and processed with a dry anaerobic method. Light roasted, it has a sweet, intensely fruity aroma with a medium body and juicy, syrupy character. Flavours of red apple, ripe cherry and red grape are rounded out by caramel and dried fruit sweetness, with fermented fruit notes and lingering sweetness in the finish.
