Guatemala La Bolsa
Summary
A washed coffee from Finca La Bolsa in La Libertad, Huehuetenango, Guatemala, grown at 1,800 metres from Caturra and Bourbon varieties. Owned by Jorge Vides since 1958, the farm sits between two mountains with a stable, humid microclimate and limestone-rich soils. The coffee is fermented for 18-24 hours, cleaned of mucilage, graded in channels and soaked overnight. It opens with ripe blackberry and crisp apple, unfolding into soft toffee and milk chocolate with a subtle black tea character and a sweet, elegant finish.
