Kenia Kiunyu
Summary
Kenyan single origin coffee from the Kiunyu washing station, part of the Karithathi Farmers Cooperative Society in Kirinyaga County. Grown at 1,670 m by around 1,600 smallholder members cultivating SL28, SL34 and Ruiru 11 varieties. Fully washed with a double fermentation: dry fermentation overnight after pulping, washing, then 12-18 hours soaking before drying on raised African beds. Medium body, high intensity and high acidity with medium sweetness. Tasting notes of tamarind, pineapple and chamomile, with papaya, fruit salad, sweet and hibiscus flower in the aroma.
