Finca de Cafe W. is a washed Kenyan coffee from the Finca de Cafe Estate, an 8-hectare private plantation founded in 2010 in Kirinyaga county at 1450m elevation, at the foot of the Aberdare mountain range. The estate uses sustainable agriculture methods with a focus on biodiversity and soil health. The coffee is grown under the shade of native trees in a chemical-free environment. Varieties include SL28 and Ruiru 11 (grafted onto drought-resistant SL28 rootstock). Processing is washed with spontaneous fermentation. The flavour profile features blackcurrant, grapefruit, and blood orange notes.
