Summary
Carmen Estate is a Panama coffee from the Chiriquí, Volcán region, produced by Carlos Aguilera, the third generation of the founding family. The farm was established in 1960 by Efrain and Carmen Franceschi and is C.A.F.E. Practices certified. The coffee is an Arabica Gesha variety, processed using washed method with spontaneous fermentation. The sensory profile includes notes of black tea, bergamot, and jasmine. Harvesting is done by the local Nôbe-Buglé indigenous community, and the farm uses low-water pulping machines and recycles wastewater and biomass.
