La Lucuma
Summary
Single-origin Peruvian coffee from producer Marcelino Chinguel and his wife Lisana, who farm 6 hectares at La Coipa at 1800-1900 m. The coffee is the Marshell variety, a Bourbon-type discovered in 2017 on their farm, known for high productivity and resistance to coffee leaf rust. Processed as Natural, with ripe cherries sorted, washed and floated before drying on raised beds for 30 to 40 days. In the cup it shows fruity intensity with notes of blackberry and cherry, and a sweet finish of chocolate and praline. Roasted for both filter and espresso.
