
Exceedingly Rare Taiwan Coe #5 Ching Ye Coffee Estate
Summary
This exceedingly rare coffee comes from Ching Ye Coffee Estate in Taiwan's Alishan region of Chiayi, produced by Yeh Shih-Yuan, a former tea farmer with 40 years of experience. This Gesha variety was processed using the natural method with a three- to four-day pre-fermentation, enhancing fruity notes and body. Grown at 1,100–1,250 meters in rich volcanic soils, this coffee features tasting notes of jasmine, passion fruit, and dried strawberry. It earned 5th place at the Taiwan Cup of Excellence auction hosted by the Alliance for Coffee Excellence.
