Costa Rica Rio Negro
Summary
Costa Rica Rio Negro is a natural-process coffee from Hacienda Rio Negro in the Coto Brus region of Costa Rica. The farm, founded in 1955 by Luis Wachong Lee, was the first in Costa Rica to earn Rainforest Alliance certification. This limited lot is the farm's first natural-process coffee, made from Caturra and Catuai varieties grown at 1100–1250 meters. It offers tasting notes of mixed berries, light rum, and milk chocolate, with a fruit-forward, rich character and a medium-light roast.
