Kamavindi Coffee
Summary
Kamavindi is a single-origin coffee from the Embu region on the south-eastern slopes of Mount Kenya, Kenya. Grown on the family-run Kamavindi Coffee Estate, founded in 1958, this lot is processed using the natural method: cherries are hand-picked, sorted, and dried on raised beds under direct sunlight for up to seven days. The cup is complex and vibrant, with rich red wine depth, juicy blackcurrant and raspberry sweetness, and delicate floral notes of elderflower. Best enjoyed black as a pour-over or cafetiere.
