Costa Rica | Finca La Esmeralda
Summary
A Natural microlot from Finca La Esmeralda, processed at La Cumbre Micromill in Costa Rica's Central Valley. Grown between 1,200 and 1,900 metres from Catuai and Caturra, two classic Bourbon-lineage varieties. Cherries are sorted for ripeness on the day of picking, floated to remove defects, then dried whole on raised beds over an extended 30 to 40 days, concentrating fruit intensity. The cup shows dried raspberry and cooked cherry, perfumed hibiscus, chocolate depth, sugary sweetness and sparkling acidity.
