Summary
Sourced from the Ruarai washing station in the highlands on the southwestern slopes of Mt. Kenya, Nyeri region. Grown at 1,783 masl. Varieties are SL28 and SL34, single tree selections from Scott Agricultural Laboratories. Processed as washed: hand-picked, hand-sorted, de-pulped, fermented for ~24 hours, density sorted by flotation channels, soaked overnight in fresh water, and dried on raised beds for 15 days with continual turning and hand-sorting. Known for dense coffees with complex profiles.
