Kigezi - Co-ferment - Uganda Omni Roast
Summary
Kigezi is a co-fermented natural coffee from the Kigezi region of West Uganda, grown by many smallholder farmers at 1700-2200 m and organized by Tom Kalyesubula of Littlefarms. Varieties Nyasaland, SL14 and SL28 were anaerobically co-fermented for 120 hours with fresh coconut. Roasted as a light omniroast suited to both filter and espresso, it shows a tropical, juicy cup with kiwi, coconut, brown sugar and lime, a round body, pleasant sweetness and a harmonious, present acidity.
