El Tropical (espresso)
Summary
A single-origin espresso from Colombia's Huila region, produced by Edinson Argote and Angela Rojas at Finca Quebraditas in Oporapa. The coffee is a rare Pink Bourbon variety, grown at up to 1850 meters altitude in a high-altitude cloud forest with volcanic clay soil. Processed using the Thermal Shock Washed method, where cherries undergo anaerobic fermentation followed by hot and cold water rinsing. Flavour notes include mango, watermelon, and grapefruit, with medium sweetness, medium-high body, silky texture, and long aftertaste. Roasted by Ivo Weller in Berlin.
